In today's scenario, the word esports is not popular among the society. Firstly it is very important to understand what is esports ?

It can be termed as a platform which describes competitive gaming. In simple words it gives a platform to compete with others in the field of gaming.

Esports are not given importance in India. But why is this so?

Countries like the US, Germany and South Korea are much more familiar with the word esports, but why not India ?

There are many reasons but mainly in India every parent wants their child to become a Doctor, Engineer etc. rather than an esports player. None of the parents give importance to gaming. If they find their child playing mobile games, then they will obviously scold him/her or order him/her to stop it.This is right to some extent, until one has curiosity in E-sports (Mobile gaming) and wants to pursue it as a career.

Why do none of the parents want their child to pursue gaming or e-sports as a career? 

As said above, most of the parents are not aware about esports and if they still know about esport then they think there is not a good source of income and also there is not a continuous or fixed income like in any private or government jobs. But this is not the whole truth. E-sport can be chosen as a career and it also has a good income. Today a lot of practice tournaments are held, so they can practice in that and can prove themselves and also there are tournaments that are having  big prize pools ranging over crores.

What about continuous income in Esports ?

Esports also has a continuous income. Till the age a player play tournaments and win prize pools they have a continuous income. A player has a continuous income when he/she joins an e-sport organisation and play on the behalf of it. After that the person can hire an e-sport team or can be the coach of an e-sport team. This will also provide him a good source of income. In today's scenario a good sports player can earn upto 45,000 by signing up with an esports organisation or company and besides this they will be also provided devices to play and bootcamps to live. Including this if they will perform good in tournaments then they can also receive huge price pools. Recently Team Phoenix which is an e-sport team of Thailand won a prize pool of 3.6 crores in FFWS (free fire world series) 2021. Earlier Galaxy Racer, the E-sport team of India won a prize pool of 75000 in FFIC (free fire Indian championship) 2021. Earlier the government was not giving much importance to e-sports but today our government has taken part in it and is helping for the development of esports. Hopefully in coming few years government organizes the Esports system in such a way that motivate people to think Esport as career option if they are really passionate about gaming.

Lakhan Suji, who is the director of e-sports federation in India also estimated that there are over 200 million e-sport enthusiasts in India. This shows the hype of e-sports among players in India. This also shows how esports is growing at a very high rate, how a person can also see esports as a career and Why you should prefer esports if you are good in gaming.

If a person is very good in Mobile gaming or is interested in e-sports and wants to opt it as a career then parents should support him/her. In coming few years e-sports industry may rise up in India which will surely provide good oppurtunity and generate employment for the people interested in gaming.
