4 Foreign slots - one batsman + two allrounders + one bowler
7 Indian slots - two Indian batsmen + one according to need of situation + one all rounder + one leg spinner + two fast bowlers.
Now see what they have according to structure.👇
4 foreign slots - Obviously Ab DeVilliers will take one batsman slot + Maxwell and one of Daniel Sams and Daniel Christian will take two slots of All Rounders + Kyle Jamienson or Kane Richardson or Adam Zampa will take one slot of bowlers.
7 Indian Slots - Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikal will definitely take two slots of Indian Batsman + One of Sachin Baby, Rajat Patidar, Md.Azharuddin and Suyash Prabhudesai will play if extra batsman needed or One of Shabaj Ahmad and harshal patel will play if extra bowler needed. + Washington Sundar will take the Allrounder slot. + Chahal will surely play as a leg spinner + two of Saini, Siraj and Harshal will play as a fast bowler.
If you look at the squad they got 10 players fixed with one Indian player slot open for uncapped players.

All other 10 players except Suyash were obvious choices for me. I want to play Sayush because he bats lower down the order.
Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikal
Rcb officially announced that Virat and Devdutt will open the innings. Virat Kohli as an opener in ipl has been quite successful. Both the players at the start of the innings play like an anchor so if they make 40-45 without any loss then I will consider it as a good start because we all know that these players can accelerate once they get set.
Washi, Maxi, Ab Devillars, Suyash and Daniel Christian
Washington Sundar batting at number 7 is of no use so he must bat at top of the order and for this matter you need someone like Sayush who can bat at number 6 or 7. Some people may say that Washii at number 4 will not be able to hit but what I want from washi is to show some temperament and hit boundaries against spinners if the 2nd wicket falls early.
If the 2nd wicket falls after 8th over then Rcb must send Ab DeVilliers at no.4 and skip washi.
Whatever I have seen from videos available,
I am more pleased by Suyash Prabhudesai and Rajat Patidar than Md.Azharuddin and Sachin Baby. It's going to be quite exciting how these guys go on.
Is lack of Indian Capped player a concern for Rcb ?
After seeing the Indian domestic players,
lack of Indian capped batsman in not going to be concern for me.
Daniel Christian is best buy of this season by Rcb as he gives tons of experience and certainly a solid 6th bowling option which Rcb had needed over the years. He is also important in terms of finishing the innings.

But as a Rcb fan, you should be hopefull that Kyle does well with his awkward bounce and swing.
In this year IPL Rcb's major concern will be death bowling. They do not have bowlers who can nail perfect yorkers in the death. This problem can cost them.
Analysis by venue
Rcb has to play total of 7 matches in Mumbai and Kolkata where high scores are made. Rcb should have to bowl well in death overs in Mumbai and Kolkata. Kyle Jamienson can get bit of more bounce at Mumbai and bit of swing in Kolkata.
Last t20 of Ind vs Eng was high scoring so you may expect high scoring match in Ahmdabad.
At Chennai Rcb has to play 4 matches. And I believe they will perform better there with a solid spin attack.
Overall Rcb has a balanced squad but there main problem is death bowling which need to be addressed.
Now the prediction time
As I have mentioned above that if anyhow they manages to solve their death bowling issue then they can surely qualify for playoffs.
